Are you new to the morning kick of junebug pepper tea? Pass on your greetings or questions to the author, the illustrator, the publisher or to Phezzie's funk, which is an entity unto itself. Please refrain from pirate language except in cases where 'stinkin' git' is a term of endearment.
THANK YOU. We wave. The hand of the barbarian standing just behind you slaps you on the back. You might want to go throw that shirt in the laundry. Sorry.

Kate Inglis,my Mum just finished reading me your book last night. She read me a chapter every night and I really enjoyed it. I live in Nova Scotia and have a neighbour down the road named Joe and I think he may be the same Joe in your book because he has lots of junk. I think you should write more pirate things and run a pirate shop and make a collection of pirate things. Maybe you could be a pirate. I want to be a pirate too. I am six years old. Thank you for writing your book. Ahren.
Hi Molly! I'm so happy to hear from you. It was nice to meet you and I'm so impressed that you've gotten so far into the book already! I'd love it if you could do a little book review - you can tell me what you thought of it here: http://www.kateinglis.com/reviewers-circle/
Keep reading and writing! And watch out for junk-hunting pirates.
Kate

What...?! Your last name is pronounced "Ingels" ??? Good to know, very good to know.
Just wanted to say how excited I am that I received your book for Christmas...turns out husbands do pay attention to what you want if you repeat yourself enough!
Ahoy Kate: I bought The Dread Crew from you at the Hubbards Christmas Country Market and have spent this year's festive season following the adventures of Joe, Eric and, of course, The Crew. Your writing style is captivating; and you have created an enchanting and endearing "hoopla" of hooligans. I look forward to carrying several copies of your book back "out west" to some ranching hooligan friends of mine . Yahoo and well Done! Heather
Looking forward to reading your book, I'm a big kid at heart. My grandkids will like it too, I'm sure. Congrats again !
Just ordered the book. To say I'm ecstatic is an understatement. My birthday is on Talk Like a Pirate Day. I have a little Pirate blood in me, it seems.
I ordered my copy this past summer, and it was so very hard to wait until November to get it here in the U.S! So glad for the possibility of the book distributed here--I want so many of my friends (and hence, their children) to have a copy. But oh, the cost of shipping! So I will be patient once again (so hard!) until then. The book is pure magic. Thank you for such a delightful read, and a wonderful message/lesson learned about "honey."
OYEZ! OYEZ! It was a pleasure to meet and chat with you briefly today in New Minas. I hope it was a successful day. Lots of kids think I am a pirate when I'm in my town crier garb, and it's easier to say yes sometimes, then to try to explain what a town crier is :). May the pen never run dry and the keyboard never stop clicking. Gary
thank you for signing my book today. HAVE A GREAT TIME WRITING MORE BOOKS!

I'm a faithful follower of your blog and now look forward to this book - I love your quirky writing style -always challenging the reader.
The big golf Goblin came by the other day with magic sticks, cart and bag and with strange tales from the back woods, and wow...was he ever excited! So I took a look and sure enough...there is a big mystery a brewin out by the road on the way to YZX. The dispersed tribe of ball bouncers, skaters, paddlers and puzzlers will get a great kick out of it. So I'm gonna make sure they get a link through the ether.
I just wanted to say that I cannot wait for your book to come out. I think my two boys are going to LOVE the story you will tell.
Beautiful site Kate; I'm pleased that your mom let me know about your wonderful book. I'm wondering if it's ok to publicise your site on my facebook, to friends etc? best wishes for huge sales.
Getting the book today. Also getting a CD to practice my pirate talk so I can understand the lingo, if necessary.
Aaaaarrhh, Kate, I'm sure it will be no less than a captivating yarn for pirate lovers everywhere. Hearty congrats from me and Cecliy. Please pardon the piratical expletive.
I have no fear of heights, uncontrolled speed, thievery, thuggery nor general recklessness, but raising two kids at once sends shivers down my spine.(hence the reason I'm buying this book...the ART of distraction ;)
Wow...this must be so exciting! Your first, of many, novels...I'm sure of it! I've never been so moved (to tears and peeing my pants laughing) by someone's writing as I have been by yours. I can't wait to read your book and share it with my daughter and, eventually, my son.
Hi mommy we love you and we are very proud of you. lots of love from your own little pirates...
Put me down for 3 copies. I've just decided that the civilized thing to do is to order my daughters their own copies...since I won't be sharing mine. When it comes to pirate tales, one must be civilized, right? Right.
Can wait to buy a few copies for my nieces and nephews! Congratulations Kate!
Hello, this is my first post on this forum.
